I work on many rocking chairs. My house is currently home to a vintage Craftsman rocking chair and an antique Lincoln rocker. Awaiting a new home is a vintage Franco Albino rocking chair and waiting to be restored is an antique colonial rocker. My current project is an antique Boston rocking chair, painstakingly taken apart for repairs and carefully placed in a basket in pieces. I love these chairs, all of them! They are special! You can smell the history in them, like an old book. Each has a story to tell. I can't imagine the things they have witnessed! They represent places, events, purposes, spans of time and even people throughout history. As I finish each rocking chair, I'll share with you what I know about its story, its history and its life. It all started with cradles...
